特别的摩擦改进剂提供高的润滑性，减少摩擦阻力，防止出现粘滑运动和机床振动，进而提高机床加工件的表面光洁度。粘附性添加剂提供强度高、油膜厚的润滑油膜，从而确保刀具盘的定位精度。
保护金属表面
极压抗磨添加剂系统，即使在重载荷下也能形成***保护膜层，从而防止导轨和滑轨的划伤。***防锈防腐蚀剂防止机床零部件不受腐蚀。
